Destiny of Africa Network Targets 20 000 Housing Units ln Harare
Destiny of Africa Network is making waves in Zimbabwe’s housing sector, targeting 20,000 housing units in Harare by 2030. This ambitious project is part of the government’s Vision 2030, aiming to provide affordable housing to low- and middle-income earners, including civil servants, vendors, and diaspora communities.
The project has already entered its second phase, with 5,000 housing stands set to be developed in Harare and Chitungwiza. Reverend Obadiah Musindo, Founder and President of Destiny of Afrika, emphasized the project’s goal of delivering affordable housing to those in need.
But that’s not all – similar projects are also underway in other towns, including Mutare, Chegutu, Kadoma, Bindura, Chinhoyi, and Bulawayo. To cater to diaspora communities, the government has opened offices in Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria, Dubai, London, and other European cities, facilitating applications and payments from Zimbabweans living abroad.
The project offers flexible payment plans, including a 60-month repayment period for civil servants. Private land developers are also encouraged to participate, with title deeds being offered to beneficiaries. Several beneficiaries have already received their housing units, complete with amenities like electricity and water.
As the project gains momentum, thousands of Zimbabweans can expect to benefit from affordable housing, improved living standards, and economic empowerment. The government has reaffirmed its commitment to creating a conducive environment for housing development, empowerment, and economic growth.
