Zimbabwe’s Minister of Information Communication Technologies (lCT),Dr Tatenda Mavetera has issued a rallying call to stakeholders in the tech sector to contribute to the development of lCT policies and proposals that drive growth and innovation.
Speaking at the Technomag Tech Convergence Fora in Harare yesterday , Mavetera stressed the importance of collaboration between the government and industry players.
Mavetera’s call to action is a significant step towards harnessing the potential of Zimbabwe’s tech sector.
“Platforms like this forum provide a critical space for dialogue and the exchange of insights to address challenges and shape the future of the sector.
I suggest we collaborate at the same time competing for a positive goal and l suggest we dedicate time monthly to take turns of hosting this digital chamber”, she said during the plenary discussions.
Mavetera emphasized the need for collaboration and innovation in the tech sector and her commitment to driving growth and innovation in the tech sector is a welcome development.
“By working together, stakeholders in the tech sector can help shape the future of Zimbabwe’s economy and create opportunities for growth and development”, she added.
