Fixed LTE subscriptions increased 6.99% to 143,323 in Q4 2025, POTRAZ data shows.

This made Fixed LTE the largest fixed broadband technology, ahead of DSL at 87,713, down 1.73%.

Active fibre subscriptions grew 7.42% to 86,225, while VSAT surged 31.62% to 67,057.

WiMAX fell 13.17% to 1,305 and CDMA dropped 22.77% to just 78, continuing legacy phase-outs.

Total fixed internet/data subscriptions reached 389,146, up 8.25% quarter-on-quarter.

POTRAZ attributed Fixed Wireless Access growth to “accelerated fixed LTE deployment and consumers preferring flexible hardware-light Internet solutions.”

Fixed LTE and 5G Fixed Wireless Access are taking market share from wired broadband, the report said.

LTE base stations increased by 167 to 3,585, with 95.9% urban population coverage.

5G sites rose by 47 to 366, reaching 18.9% of the urban population.

Fixed internet/data traffic grew 8.86% to 479.94 PB, driven by high-speed wireless and fibre.

TelOne, a major FWA provider, operates 4,046 km of fibre backbone to support its LTE network.

IAPs employed 2,521 staff, with TelOne accounting for 1,538, to manage wireless and fibre expansion.

ARPU for IAPs was ZWG 6,502.57, down 6.86% as subscription growth outpaced revenue.

Equipped international bandwidth rose 6.46% to 1,688,770 Mbps to support FWA traffic.

POTRAZ forecasts FWA will remain key for last-mile broadband ahead of full fibre coverage.
