The Federation of Young Farmers Clubs of Zimbabwe (FYFCZ) is showcasing cutting-edge technologies that are boosting productivity and sustainability, from the use of drones for precision farming to leveraging e-commerce platforms and digital tools targeted to redefine the landscape of agribusiness.
At the recent Farmers’ Annual Conference in Harare, Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Hon. Tatenda Mavetera, remarked the FYFCZ for innovative approach. “We’re witnessing a youth-led, tech-enabled revolution in Zimbabwean agriculture,” she said. “The future is digitally empowered and profit-driven.”
The numbers back it up – young farmers contributed 22% of Zimbabwe’s maize output last season. With the government’s commitment to a modern, green agricultural economy by 2030, the stage is set for a digitally powered agricultural renaissance.
