Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has apologized for the 5hr Liquid Telecom downtime which kicked in today around 12:30pm -till 5 pm as they have now restored full data service which had shut down millions of their subscribers throughout the better part of the day
In a statement, Econet sincerely apologized for the inconvenience that the fibre cut had caused.
“Econet Wireless apologizes to its valued customers for the data outage experienced today (Dec 5, 2017) resulting in customers being unable to access the Internet and related data services on our network. the outage was due to a technical fault which has since been resolved. Econet sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused.” said the company spokesman
This outage, however, did not affect any voice or SMS traffic, centralizing the problem to international outbound data traffic, calls and VoIP based services.
