Embedding Ethics in AI ls Key to Responsible Development And Use

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought about transformative changes across various sectors, changing the way we live, work, and interact, however as AI systems become increasingly integrated into our daily lives, concerns about their ethical implications have grown henceforth embedding ethics in AI is crucial to ensure that these systems are developed and used responsibly, prioritizing human well-being, privacy, and safety.

MorniPac Consultant’s Chief Executive officer Dr. Whisper Rukanda highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, ethics integration, and responsible AI adoption, “It’s crucial that we embed ethics into AI systems to ensure responsible development and use”, he said.

He was speaking during his welcome remarks at the Cyber Fraud and Al Summit 2025 which is being held in Nyanga under the theme, ” Bridging the gap in Cyber, AI and Financial lnvestigations”.

Dr.Rukanda also pointed out the dual role of artificial intelligence in cyber security saying AI is both a powerful tool for preventing cyber threats and a potential vulnerability that can be exploited by cybercriminals.

The summit brought together experts and delegates from across the globe to share knowledge and experiences in addressing the growing concern of cyber fraud. Key themes explored during the summit included AI-powered cyber threats, AI-driven security solutions, and cybersecurity resilience.
