Former NetOne Chief Executive Officer, Reward Kangai who was arrested last night and is facing numerous charges ranging from criminal abuse of office, corruption amongst other issues, has been granted an $800 bail, after spending the last night at Avondale Police Station.
As part of his bail conditions, Kangai is to surrender his Passport, reside at his given address, report once every Monday to Friday at Borrowdale police station and not to interfere with state witnesses.

His Lawyer, Nyasha Munetsi said there was no reasonable doubt to deny Kangai bail citing that the arrest that was made by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) was illegal and there was no evidence to prove he was guilty.
“Your worship, we do take issues with legality of the arrest, there was no reasonable doubt with which to conclude that the accused committed any offense.
“The accused was arrested by ZACC to which he gave them all the detailed information regards the matter. NetOne has however concealed all the documents and information relating to this matter,” said Munetsi.
Kangai is to return to court on January, 31 2018
