Makamba Meets President Mnangagwa

On his fourth day in Zimbabwe, Telecel Zimbabwe Founder and Chairman Mr James Makamba paid a courtesy call to the Zimbabwean President HE Emmerson Mnangagwa to congratulate him on his ascendancy to President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and First Secretary and President of ZANU PF.,

After spending twelve years  in exile,  James Makamba who was once a Zanu Pf Central committee member returned home last week and has met  the President to discuss various matters amongst them his contribution to implementing an economic turn around.

“Amongst a wide range of issues discussed, they focused on the acceleration of Foreign Direct Investment in an effort to springboard the Economy.” 

Said a source close to the developments.

In a statement, Mr Makamba said he was responding to a call by the new president of Zimbabwe to return back home and rebuild the nation.

“We are answering the call by the new president Cde Mnangagwa to come home, work with other in rebuilding our economy because Zimbabwe is going to be great once again.”

Mr Makamba is also set to drive Telecel Zimbabwe through a new dispensation with a major move that is set to be announced this week after consultation with other board members.

However, their control is only limited to 40% of the stake as structured below.
