Liquid Intelligent Technologies has committed to advancing Zimbabwe’s transition to a knowledge-based, digitally driven economy through a new Software Developer Skills Development Hub signed with the government last week.
The initiative will provide training and infrastructure in software development, AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. It also includes mentorship programs, startup incubation, and internship pathways linked to Liquid’s regional technology projects across Africa.
Lorreta Songola, VP and CEO of Liquid Zimbabwe, said digital transformation is now an immediate economic imperative. “Through this initiative, we are proud to ignite a sustainable technology ecosystem that creates meaningful jobs, fuels entrepreneurship, and establishes Zimbabwe as a beacon of regional innovation.”
The Ministry of Skills Audit and Development will oversee implementation and alignment with Vision 2030. Officials say the partnership will help Zimbabwe move from consuming technology to creating and exporting it.
