Harare City Council’s subsidiary, Harare Quarry goes digital

Harare Quarry a subsidiary of the City Council of Harare has launched an e-commerce platform which allows customers to place orders and buy products online and can also directly chat with customers virtually.

The firm’s sales and marketing officer, Ms Portia Banda said the new convenient way will result in their customers accessing their
newly-created website.
“The e-commerce platform is integrated with a chat bot which allows customers to chat
with our personnel anytime of the day,” she said
She also added the innovation was caused
by the Covid-19 which has affected trade and commerce activities in Zimbabwe and the
rest of the world.

“Harare Quarry Private Limited is aware that it is difficult for its customers to access its
goods and services during this pandemic.
“However, the company has come up with a digital solution by launching an e-commerce
platform which allows its customers to place orders and buy its products online without
necessarily physically visiting its offices,” she said.
