Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) is set to host the Robotics Discovery and Innovation Expo tomorrow, Friday, September 11, 2026, offering a hands-on experience in robotics, emerging technology, and digital innovation.
Organized by the C.U.T Robotics Club under the Young Africans Robotics Association (YARA) CUT Chapter, the event will take place at The Great Hall on the university campus from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Admission is free, with organizers extending an open invitation to students, researchers, tech enthusiasts, and the broader public.
Driven by the motto “Innovate Local, Build Global,” the exposition seeks to expose attendees to real-world applications of robotics and automation. The interactive program is structured around four primary pillars: discovering practical robotics solutions, learning directly from industry experts, driving local innovation, and expanding technical networks for future collaboration.
For students, the expo provides a crucial platform to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical execution. By engaging directly with automated systems, interactive displays, and expert mentors, participants will gain practical insights into hardware development, software design, and engineering workflows.
The initiative aims to foster youth-led tech ventures, enhance problem-solving capabilities, and connect students with prospective mentors and technical peers.
The event is supported by a coalition of key sponsors and partner organizations dedicated to advancing STEM education and youth leadership across the region.
Partner organizations backing the expo include the Young Africans Robotics Association (YARA), Zimbabwe Youth Council (ZYC), Fluxis Engineering, TME Education, Omorfo Tech, Tariro, Elevate Trust, and STEMpower.
Tomorrow’s gathering highlights the growing momentum behind youth-driven technological development in Zimbabwe, guided by the vision: “Technology Today. A Brighter Tomorrow.”
