NetOne’s Q2 2025 Performance: Key Improvements

The Q2 2025 POTRAZ report highlights several positive metrics for NetOne, demonstrating growth in its subscriber base, network usage, and significant infrastructure expansion.

1. Subscriber Growth:

Active Mobile Subscriptions increased by 0.22%, from 3,978,177 in Q1 to 3,987,105 in Q2.
2. Voice Traffic Increase:

Total Voice Traffic saw strong growth, rising by 2.73% from 507,523,225 minutes to 521,361,797 minutes.
3. Market Share Growth in Voice:

As a result of increased traffic, NetOne’s market share of mobile voice traffic grew by 0.28 percentage points, from 12.09% to 12.37%.
4. Significant Network Infrastructure Expansion (Base Stations):
NetOne was the leading player in network infrastructure deployment across multiple technologies:

2G Base Stations: Increased by 5, from 1,451 to 1,456.
3G Base Stations: Saw a substantial net addition of 108, growing from 1,459 to 1,567.
LTE (4G) Base Stations: Recorded the largest expansion in the sector, adding 224 new stations, jumping from 1,354 to 1,578.
5G Base Stations: Increased from 16 to 18.
