POTRAZ Opens Applications for Data Protection Officer Training in Masvingo

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has opened applications for the Data Protection Officer (DPO) Certification Course, scheduled for October 2025 in Masvingo. The training is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills required to implement the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].

The programme is a mandatory requirement for certification and registration as a Data Protection Officer in Zimbabwe. It is also open to professionals seeking to strengthen their understanding of the country’s data protection legal framework.

Applicants must hold a first degree in any relevant field. Special entry is available for candidates with a minimum of five ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, plus at least two ‘A’ Level passes, or a diploma with at least two years of relevant experience.

To apply, candidates should visit the POTRAZ website. Completed forms must be submitted with proof of payment of application fees, certified copies of academic certificates, and a valid national ID. The deadline for applications is 1 October 2025.
