Cassava Technologies President and Group CEO Hardy Pemhiwa will represent Africa on the global stage at the TEDAI conference in Vienna, Austria, from 24 to 26 September 2025. He is set to highlight how the continent is embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to drive growth, innovation, and inclusion.
Africa, with the youngest population in the world and a growing entrepreneurial base, is positioned to become a major player in the digital economy. Pemhiwa’s presentation will focus on the importance of building African AI solutions technology developed for Africans, by Africans to unlock economic opportunities and tackle social challenges.
Cassava Technologies has been investing heavily in digital infrastructure to make this vision possible. The company operates Africa’s most extensive fibre network and recently announced the establishment of an AI Factory with five hubs across the continent to accelerate adoption and innovation.
