Zimbabwean DStv viewers are gaining advantageous access to a wider range of viewing options through a unique initiative that enables the free upgrade of their chosen programme bouquet.
The Step-Up campaign introduced by MultiChoice Zimbabwe encourages viewers to renew their subscriptions at a bouquet level higher than their previous one and then receive a free upgrade to the bouquet one level higher than the new one.
DStv offers six package options to Zimbabwean subscribers, including Lite, Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus and Premium, so the Step-Up offer is aimed at the viewers of Lite through to Compact levels.
“Response to the initiative has been very positive and very encouraging, as viewers are so keen to experience the ever-expanding level of viewing enjoyment that upgrades offer,” said Charity Njanji, Head of Corporate Affairs, and Public Relations of MultiChoice Zimbabwe.

If a DStv Lite customer upgrades to DStv Access the upgrade is to Family, which is one up from Access. Access to Family opens up Compact and Family to Compact opens up Compact Plus. DStv Compact to Compact Plus opens up Premium, the highest package on the platform.
“Step Up was introduced in January and will run until the end of March, and we have had tremendous feedback from people who have taken up the offer to say that the wider level of viewing options being provided has been rewarding to every viewer in the family,” said Njanji.
“Campaigns such as these are introduced to add excitement to the market, and we know Zimbabweans enjoy the access they gain to wider options of information, education and entertainment afforded them by this particular campaign.”
