Zim Diaspora remittances up by 48%


Diaspora remittances increased by 48 percent to reach US$760 million the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe latest figures has revealed.

Diaspora remittances are a source of income for most families relying on the revenue from abroad.

Presenting during the post budget breakfast RBZ Governor John Mangudya said , “Diaspora Remittances are up 48% on last year figures, We are thankful for that”.

The percentage increased amid Covid-19 restrictions were diaspora remittances became critical source of forex in the country during lockdown.
