By Microblogging site Twitter has announced that it is working on an edit button.
The edit button feature is expected to be used to correct errors on the twitter platform.
The platform currently does not allow users to update their tweets.
However the plan to introduce an edit button has been met with mixed feelings with other users of this platform welcoming the idea while others are opposed to the idea.
One user @Toneo1st is of the view that the edit button feature must only be applied to twitter for the purposes of correcting spellings errors and typos.
The user added that the feature must expire after 8 minutes tops as people usually realise the errors within the time frame and allowing more time would would distort the narrative with retweets and comments included.
Another user completely opposed the idea of an edit button arguing that the edit button will bring chaos to the platform which thrives on raw tweets hence editing them will affect the quoted,retweeted and replied tweets.
