By If you understand how policies work and are driven, there is every reason to celebrate the return of ICT Postal and Courier Services Minister, Hon Supa Mmandiwanzira and his Science and technology cde, Minister of Higher and Tertiary, Science and Technology development on Jonathan Moyo after the cabinet reshuffle.
As far as ICTs and technologies are concerned, these two gentlemen have done considerably well to drive Zimbabwe towards world-class standards by availing policies and opportunities that expose and bring us closer trending technologies.
More resources will now need to be availed to see local technologies move from talk shows into practical solutions, which one day will Zimbabwe export technology to neighboring and regional countries.
Ultimately Zimbabwe tech community will judge these by their capacity to deliver results and drive to shake off the traditional systems which are a number one threat to the existence of technology!
Both ministers have a mandate to create platforms for young technology players to incubate their ideas and connect them to real-world industry for possibilities of commercialization.
The biggest boom world over is the rise of tech companies, the government needs more policies that cultivate such a culture if we are to jump on the bandwagon.
More importantly is to make sure the future is sustained today by promoting already existing businesses with viable policies. Policies that encourage ease of doing business, open up to international players and allow industry
