New X Users Required To Pay A Fee Before Getting Access To Post Anything On This Platform – Musk

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, yesterday announced a new policy for users on his social media platform, X that starting next month, all new users will be required to pay a fee before they can post anything on the platform.

Musk stated that the fee is necessary to combat spam and fake accounts on X, and to ensure that users are serious about engaging in meaningful discussions on the platform. The fee amount has not been disclosed yet, but Musk has assured users that it will be reasonable.

Posting on his X account, Musk wrote, ” Unfortunately, a small fee for new user write access is the only way to curb the relentless onslaught of bots.

Current AI (and troll farms) can pass “Are you a bot” with ease.”

This move has sparked mixed reactions from the public, with some praising Musk for taking steps to improve the quality of content on X, while others criticize the move as a barrier to entry for new users. Only time will tell how this new policy will impact the user experience on X.
