NetOne executives led by the Acting Chief Executive Officer Brian Mutandiro were on the spotlight during the recently held annual Marketers Association Of Zimbabwe (MAZ) convention in Victoria Falls.
The awards ceremony recognised Acting boss Brian Mutandiro, Public Relations Executive George Manyaya and former Marketing Executive Juliet Ziswa which saw them all individually walking away with top gongs.
Mutandiro who has been steering the mobile network back to increased revenue generation and hopefully profitability was accorded the Marketing Oriented Chief Executive Officer of the year under the Exceptional Marketing Awards banner.
Coming from a TelOne Background, Mutandiro lives to fight every day to make an imprint in the telecoms sector which largely was dominated by private owned players who have received better capitalisation and have less bureaucratic system ahead of them to be dynamic and competitive.
The company’s Public Relations executive, George Manyaya who gave NetOne a new Public limelight with his aggressive PR Stunts PR bagged the Public Practitioner of the Year Award.
In his less than a year marriage with NetOne, Manyaya who prefers working from the background and hardly comment for the corporate has introduced an aggressive PR campaign which has seen the NetOne brand transforming.
The humble but strategic young man has made the competition in telecoms sector take a new shape and it has been dog eat dog with NetOne being arguably the most talked about brand this year following the launch of much talked about One Fusion and the recently relaunched and rebranded mobile money facility, One Money.
Meanwhile, Juliet Ziswa who has since left the company for greener pastures grabbed the Marketer of the Year Award (Management)
” It’s such an honour to be recognised two consecutive years in a row. I thank the NetOne Board and NetOne Senior Management for the opportunity to make a difference,” said Ziswa.
