State-owned mobile operator NetOne has once again mobilised staff and communities for its One Mega Clean-Up Campaign, extending the exercise to 7 cities and provinces across the country.
The campaign, held on National Clean-Up Day, saw NetOne teams working alongside government, regulators and citizens to clear litter, unblock drains and promote proper waste disposal.
Sector Unity was in the Capital. In Harare, the clean-up was led jointly with the Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services. Participating institutions included POTRAZ, TelOne, Zimpost and ZARNET, demonstrating unity within the ICT and postal sector.
Grassroots Impact in the Regions in Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo, Midlands, Bindura and Chitungwiza, NetOne partnered with EMA
, local councils and community groups. Activities included street cleaning, public education on littering, and distribution of bins to promote community ownership.
The company said the initiative gives practical effect to the President’s call for a cleaner Zimbabwe and supports devolution by letting regional teams lead solutions tailored to local needs.
CSR With A National Lens according to Ernest Magadzire, NetOne PR Manager, environmental stewardship is now a strategic pillar of the company’s CSI.
“We are not just about connectivity. We are about creating healthy environments where businesses can thrive and families can live with dignity. That is how we contribute to Vision 2030,” he said.

noted that clean environments reduce disease, improve productivity, and protect infrastructure — all critical for a digital economy.
The company pledged to continue embedding sustainability in its operations as Zimbabwe advances NDS2 goals toward an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.
