InnBucks has Expanded its ATM Network Nationwide Through ZIMSWITCH Interoperability
InnBucks is rolling out its ATM network nationwide following a successful pilot phase, giving customers greater access to cash through a new level of connectivity with Zimbabwe’s financial services sector.
The expansion marks a significant step in the evolution of InnBucks’ financial services offering. However, beyond the growing number of ATMs, the key development is the company’s achievement of ZIMSWITCH interoperability certification, which enables ZIMSWITCH cardholders to withdraw cash from InnBucks ATMs.
This means customers with participating ZIMSWITCH cards can now use InnBucks ATMs to access their money without having to rely exclusively on machines operated by their own financial institutions.
For customers, the development brings greater convenience, more choice and improved access to cash. As the network expands, InnBucks aims to position its ATMs in accessible locations across the country, bringing cash withdrawal services closer to where people live, work, shop and conduct their daily transactions.
The nationwide rollout builds on the successful pilot phase, during which the company tested and refined its ATM offering ahead of a broader deployment. Customers can expect the network to grow, providing an additional option for accessing cash through Zimbabwe’s increasingly connected financial services infrastructure.
InnBucks, which has established its presence in the market through its digital wallet and everyday financial transaction services, is now extending its reach into physical banking infrastructure. By connecting digital payments, card-based transactions and cash withdrawals, the company is broadening the ways customers can access and use their money.
The ATMs are powered by modern technology designed to support secure and reliable transactions, with a focus on making cash withdrawals straightforward and convenient. Beyond the machines themselves, however, it is the underlying connectivity that gives the expansion its wider significance.
Through ZIMSWITCH interoperability, InnBucks’ ATM infrastructure can serve cardholders from participating financial institutions, extending its usefulness beyond customers within the InnBucks ecosystem. This positions the network as an additional cash access channel within Zimbabwe’s broader financial services landscape.
The development also challenges traditional perceptions of ATM access, where customers have often relied on machines associated with their own banks. By combining a growing ATM footprint with interoperability, InnBucks is introducing more flexibility into how customers access cash.
For the wider financial services sector, the move highlights the growing importance of interconnected infrastructure in improving customer convenience and expanding access to financial services.
As the nationwide rollout progresses, InnBucks is positioning itself to play a broader role in Zimbabwe’s financial ecosystem, where access to money is increasingly shaped by connectivity, convenience and the availability of multiple transaction channels.
Ultimately, the expansion reflects a wider ambition: to make financial services more accessible, better connected and closer to the everyday needs of Zimbabwean customers.
