WhatsApp Business is making it easier for businesses to close sales directly in chat with catalogs.

The feature lets customers browse products, check prices, and decide faster, turning casual conversations into confirmed orders.

“A catalog acts as your mobile storefront inside WhatsApp,” said a WhatsApp Business spokesperson.

Instead of sending photos one by one or answering “how much?” repeatedly, businesses can list items with images, descriptions, and prices in one place customers can tap through.

For buyers, the experience is familiar and fast, allowing them to scroll, compare options, and add items to a cart without leaving the chat.

Business owners save time too, spending less energy retyping specs and prices, and more time handling real questions, upsells, and checkout details.

“Setting up is straightforward,” said the spokesperson, adding that businesses can add product photos, write short descriptions, set prices, and include item codes or sizes if needed.

Once published, businesses can share the catalog link in their profile, status, or directly in chats.

Videos can also be added to the catalog, providing customers with a better understanding of products.

The format works across industries, with retailers showcasing clothing, electronics, or home goods, and salons listing service packages with before and after clips.

Catalogs also support seasonal updates, allowing businesses to launch new products or promotions quickly.

Analytics help businesses refine what sells, seeing which items get the most views and which drive chats.

“Reuse your best product videos and imagery so your brand looks polished everywhere without extra production cost,” said the spokesperson.

The feature is a trust builder, allowing new customers to feel confident buying when they can browse a clear, complete menu of what businesses offer with prices up front.
