Police Raid Moto Republik Again

Police today raided the Magamba Network (Moto Republik) offices and confiscated equipment including computers. Magamba Network is where the American citizen, Martha O’Donovan, who was arrested for insulting the president in a tweet works. The police had a search warrant, when they raided the offices.

The equipment confiscated by the police is believed to be linked to the crime of  subverting a constitutional government, a crime that Martha O’Donovan  has been charged with. Currently she is on a $1000 bail.

Reports on social media suggests that Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) have offered emergency legal services to Magamba Network in light of the recent developments.

Meanwhile, a #FreeMartha hashtag seem to be circulating and gaining traction on Twitter.
