NetOne has extended its corporate social responsibility footprint with a donation of healthcare equipment and winter essentials to KidzCan Rainbow Village, reaffirming its commitment to responsible citizenship and sustainable development.

The package includes blankets, bed linen, blood pressure monitoring machines, glucometers, blood sugar testing kits and other critical supplies. The timing is deliberate, with winter temperatures continuing to drop nationwide, placing extra strain on children undergoing cancer treatment and their caregivers.

NetOne Public Relations Manager Ernest Magadzire said the intervention aligns with the telco’s Health and Care strategic pillar.

“At NetOne, we believe connectivity goes beyond technology. It is about connecting communities to opportunities, support and hope. Through this partnership with KidzCan, we are investing in the health and well-being of vulnerable children while contributing towards Sustainable Development Goal 3 on Good Health and Well-being, the National Development Strategy 2 objectives on social protection and healthcare, and our Environmental, Social and Governance commitments,” Magadzire said.

The donation kicks off NetOne’s 2026 Winter Drive and sets the stage for the NetOne KidzCan Charity Golf Tournament set for 26 June in Bulawayo. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward treatment support and strengthening KidzCan’s capacity to provide care and accommodation for patients and their families.

Magadzire emphasised that sustainable business must deliver social impact.

“Through strategic partnerships and community-driven interventions, NetOne continues to demonstrate that sustainable business success is inseparable from social impact, ensuring that vulnerable communities receive the care, support and dignity they deserve,” he added.
