Netone has renounced any corruption regarding the sale and distribution of its airtime.
Responding To The Sale And Distribution Of Airtime, NetOne opposed the sale and distribution of airtime above the gazetted price by the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ).
The depreciation of the Zimbabwean dollar against the United States Dollar (USD) has led the vendors to use exchange rates different from the interbank rate.
In a statement issued by Netone, the company advised its customers to purchase airtime from authorized retail stores, approved distributors, and reputable online platforms.
“It has come to our attention that there are reports regarding the sale of Netone airtime at unauthorized prices. The pricing model of our products and services is guided by the official exchange rate”.
“Purchasing airtime using the above official channels assures our customers of authenticity, reliability, and security. Netone Cellular remains committed to taking action against an unauthorized sale and distribution of our products”, said the statement.
”For inquiries on the sale of unauthorized Netone airtime call customer support helpline 123 or social media handles.”
