The Mutapa Investment Fund (MIF) is rebundling ZESA Holdings to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs within Zimbabwe’s electricity sector. MIF CEO, the Former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor, Dr John Panonetsa Mangudya confirmed that the rebundling process is underway, aiming to improve ZESA’s profitability and operational coherence.
The move is expected to yield significant savings through economies of scale, lower overheads, and streamlined procurement. The rebundling is also expected to improve the overall performance of ZESA Holdings.
“Efforts are being intensified to resuscitate entities such as the Cold Storage Company while the rebundling of companies under ZESA Holdings is ongoing,” Dr Mangudya said this week whilst appearing before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Energy.MIF is committed to transparency and accountability in its operations.
