#BREAKING: High Court Grants Kwese Temporary Victory

The High Court of Zimbabwe has dismissed with costs, the appeal by Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe’s  (BAZ)  to block Kwese TV from broadcasting pending hearing, hence automatically allowing Kwese to resume operations till the case is finalized.

The development comes barely a few weeks after BAZ appealed the Supreme Court judgment which had given Kwese the green light to operate in Zimbabwe through their content distributor Dr Dish Pvt Ltd.In an Interview soon after the ruling, an ecstatic Dr Dish Director Mr Nyasha Muzavazi said they owed their victor to the almighty.

I can confirm we have won our Urgent Chamber Application for leave to proceed in terms of the order granted in our our earlier Urgent Chamber Application to proceed with our operations despite the purported letter of cancellation by Mr Muganyura the Baz CEO, as set out in the High Court Order HH-598-17 dated 8 September 2017,despite the appeal noted by BAZ.” he said 

 

The jubilant Muzavazi owed the success to God and added

I am very excited. God is on the throne. I give all the glory to God Almighty for this victory.It is all God my brother, Glory be to God, ” he said
