Air Zimbabwe To Resume Harare-Johannesburg Flights From 19 August

Air Zimbabwe will resume flights between Harare and Johannesburg on 19 August 2026, restoring a key regional route with thrice-weekly services.

The national carrier said the flights will operate every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday in both directions.

Flight Schedule
Harare to Johannesburg
Sundays: Depart 14:35, Arrive 16:20
Wednesdays & Fridays: Depart 11:30, Arrive 13:15.

Johannesburg to Harare
Sundays: Depart 16:55, Arrive 18:40
Wednesdays & Fridays: Depart 14:00, Arrive 15:30.

The relaunch comes as Air Zimbabwe seeks to strengthen regional connectivity and tap into demand on the busy Harare-Johannesburg corridor, one of Southern Africa’s busiest air routes.

The airline last operated the route before scaling back operations due to financial and operational challenges. The resumption is expected to provide more options for business and leisure travelers between Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Tickets are expected to be available through Air Zimbabwe offices, travel agents and online booking platforms.
