ZB Financial Holdings sponsored the 2024 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Innovators Forum, which aimed to empower youth-led innovation for industrialization and trade development .
The forum featured discussions, pitch competitions, and a hackathon challenge, focusing on topics like digital transformation, e-commerce, and intellectual property rights .
The event showcased innovative agricultural solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning developed by university students to boost productivity and address challenges in the agricultural sector .
Speaking to TechnoMagTV, the Chief transformative officer, Kangai Maukazuva who has been making serious transformation for tech space in Zimbabwe said that the idea for this forum was to nature young generations to participate and be part of the change that is needed in the industry and not leaving anyone behind.
“The world is changing, every industry is being affected by innovation and Zimbabwe don’t have to be left behind and have to take part in every innovation in each and every sector. The idea is to nature young generations to participate and be part of the change that we need in the industry”
ZB had a number of innovations around food security and how they can cab the challenges of climate change. They also had innovation around Tech, where youngsters had to think of how the ecosystem really operated interms of getting payments in the value change.
The ZITF Innovators Forum, sponsored by ZB Financial Holdings, marked a significant improvement in delivering and pitching innovative ideas for industrialization and trade development. The presentations were clear and concise, making it easy to follow and understand how each idea could generate revenue. The forum provided a unique opportunity to see the potential for tangible financial returns from the ideas presented, making it a valuable experience for all participants.
