Samsung has unveiled the Odyssey OLED G6, a groundbreaking gaming monitor that boasts a remarkable 500Hz refresh rate. This 27-inch QHD monitor is designed for competitive gamers who demand ultra-smooth visuals and lightning-fast response times.
The Odyssey OLED G6 features a QD-OLED panel that combines the contrast of OLED with quantum dot color reproduction, resulting in more accurate and vibrant visuals. With a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time, this monitor is perfect for fast-paced games that require quick reflexes.
The monitor supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, ensuring a tear-free gaming experience. Additionally, it has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, and Pantone validation, making it capable of reproducing over 2,100 colors and 110 skin tones.
The Odyssey OLED G6 also features a sleek design with a metal frame, Core Lighting+ at the back that syncs with on-screen content, and a stand that supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. The display has very narrow bezels and includes DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI ports, a headphone jack, and a USB-A.
To address OLED burn-in concerns, Samsung has introduced OLED Safeguard+, which includes a pulsating heat pipe and dynamic cooling system that’s five times more effective than standard cooling methods. The monitor also auto-dims static elements to prevent screen burn.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 will be available for purchase in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia at approximately $1,488, with other global markets to follow in the coming days.
According to Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, “With the Odyssey OLED G6, we’re pushing gaming performance, visual quality, and immersion to entirely new heights, delivering the next evolution of display technology for gamers around the world.”
