Samsung Electronics has launched its Samsung Browser for Windows, bringing the mobile browsing experience to PCs with built-in AI tools and seamless cross-device continuity.
The browser, compatible with Windows 10 and 11, allows users to continue their browsing sessions from mobile devices without losing tabs, pages, or context. Samsung said this feature goes beyond traditional sync, which usually only shares bookmarks or history.
“Users expect their digital experience to follow them across devices,” Samsung said in a statement. “Our new Windows browser makes it possible to pick up exactly where you left off, whether on a phone, tablet, or PC.”
A key feature of the Windows version is its agentic AI assistant, developed in partnership with Perplexity AI. The AI can summarise long articles, organise open tabs, and help users find previously viewed content using natural language queries. Early access is rolling out in the United States and South Korea, with wider global availability expected in the coming months.
“Whether you are researching, reading news, or managing multiple projects online, the AI assistant keeps you focused and reduces the friction of switching between devices,” Samsung said.
The browser also integrates Samsung Pass for secure credential management, autofill tools, and productivity features aimed at users who frequently move between devices.
Industry analysts say the move signals Samsung’s intent to compete with desktop browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, leveraging cross device functionality and AI tools as differentiators.
The browser is available for download immediately, with Samsung promising continued updates to expand AI capabilities and regional support.
