Netone Group Chief Executive Officer Engineer Raphael Mushanawani participated in the 10km race at the recent NetOne Albun Honde Valley Marathon. The event was held at Hauna Business Centre in Honde Valley, Manicaland province, aimed to promote tourism, rural development, environmental awareness, and wellness.
In his remarks, Engineer Mushanawani emphasized the importance of supporting local communities and businesses, driving economic growth, and empowering residents with sustainable opportunities.
The NetOne Albun Honde Valley Marathon has become an annual event that brings together runners, spectators, and officials to promote tourism, foster rural development, and raise awareness about critical issues affecting the community.
This year’s event was a success, with participants and spectators praising the organizers for a well-organized and enjoyable event. Mutasa Rural District Council Chairman, Paddington Nemaunga, commended the sponsors and organizers, saying, “We thank them for putting our district on the map.”
The event also presented opportunities for local businesses, such as Shanduko Catering Club, which benefited from catering services. A local family, the Mangwandas, also benefited from hosting participants at their Airbnb.
