Information Communication Technologies (ICT) Deputy Minister Dingimuzi Phuti has issued a rallying cry for the urgent promotion of ICT literacy and digital visualization skills, particularly among marginalized populations.
Speaking at the Business Times 2nd Annual Telecommunications Conference and Exhibition in Harare,minister Phuti emphasized that access to digital tools and knowledge is no longer a privilege, but a right .
The minister’s vision is part of Zimbabwe’s broader push towards a digitally inclusive future, as outlined in the country’s Vision 2030 plan. This plan aims to transform Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income society by 2030, with ICTs playing a critical role in driving socioeconomic development .

– Cybersecurity: Strengthening cybersecurity formats to protect digital transactions, communications, and the infrastructure that sustains the digital economy.
– Collaboration: Fostering strategic partnerships between the government, private sector players, academia, and international partners to drive Zimbabwe’s digital transformation.
