Zimbabwe’s digital landscape is attracting global attention, with Aura Group, a local telecommunications company, recognized as the fastest-growing Starlink reseller in Africa following the visit of Starlink officials to Zimbabwe.
Speaking after a courtesy call with visiting Starlink executives to the Minister of ICT Postal and Courier Services, Mr Samuelle Dimairho, Co-Founder and CEO of Aura Group, attributes the company’s success to three key factors which are high sales volumes, operational efficiency, and strong feedback-driven partner engagement. These elements have resulted in improvements on a global scale.
“We’ve managed to achieve very good numbers, and in some areas, we’re the first in the world to grow in certain aspects of the Starlink business,” Dimairho said.

Starlink’s visit highlights Zimbabwe’s growing importance in the satellite internet space. “We’ve been picked as one of the best resellers in Africa,” Dimairho added, underscoring Aura’s ability to drive customer satisfaction and provide valuable data to enhance Starlink’s services.
Further cementing Zimbabwe’s digital future, discussions are underway with SpaceX about establishing Starlink ground infrastructure in the country. While installations are already in place in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, Dimairho is optimistic that Zimbabwe will soon join the ranks of these nations. “Another team is actively exploring that conversation, and we are hopeful,” he said.
A common challenge for Zimbabweans has been the availability of Starlink’s standard kits, which are often listed as ‘sold out’ on the official website. However, Aura is tackling this issue head-on by providing reliable access through its reseller channels. “Even in sold-out areas, we have the ability to add capacity. Walk into Aura today, and you can walk out with a functioning kit,” said Dimairho .
The company is also rolling out new pricing structures, with subscriptions expected to start at US$60 per month, making satellite internet more affordable for ordinary Zimbabweans.
