Econet hikes tariffs

Yesterday, Econet subscribers received a message stating that there was going to be another tariff review. Honestly, this is not news anymore, as subscribers we just brace ourselves now simply because we do not know how much we are going to have to fork out. With the inflationary pressure almost felt by all the majority of Zimbabweans, prices of commodities continue to soar and mobile tariffs are no exception.

Below are the new prices for old data bundles vis-a-vis what we are going to be paying for data;

The daily WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram bundle that was going for $1.25 is now $1.50 recording a 17% increase. On the other hand, WhatsApp weekly remains at $5 for 65MB, and for $10 customers will now get 140MB. The same amount will also get you 140MB for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
