All Set For World Post Day, IDUAI commemorations

All roads lead to Chivi, Masvingo province as the country joins the rest of the world for the joint World Post Day and the International Day for Universal Access to information (IDUAI ) tomorrow,  the 23rd of October.
A Community Information Center (CIC) is set to be launched and a Public Finance Management System Kiosk (PFMSK) as well at the district development office
The International Day for Universal Access to Information was proclaimed on 15 October 2019 at the 74th UN General Assembly. The day was designated by the UNESCO General Conference. It was first held on 28 September 2016.
World Post Day is celebrated each year on 9th October. The day was declared by the UPU Congress held in Tokyo, Japan in 1969. Since then, countries across the world participate annually in the celebrations.
The Zimbabwean event is being spearheaded by two government ministries, the Ministry of ICT Postal and Courier Services (MICTPS)  in conjunction with the Ministry of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services.
Both government ministers from the two ministries will address delegates during the commemorations, whilst Unesco Southern Africa regional office and Potraz are amongst the key speakers.
