ZimSwitch Technologies shaded more light on its vital role in facilitating financial transactions in Zimbabwe during a plenary session at the Tech Convergence Forum hosted by TechnoMag last week in Harare.
Head of Technology Services ltai Tsoro explained that ZimSwitch provides a shared infrastructure, enabling banks and mobile network operators to offer seamless transactions and this infrastructure sharing benefits the economy of scale, allowing businesses to increase profits.
“ZimSwitch’s services extend beyond transaction processing, offering reconciliation services to ensure that every credit has a corresponding debit and the organization maintains strict rules and regulations, requiring transaction faults to be settled within 48 hours”, he said.
Tsoro highlighted the importance of ZimSwitch in ensuring real-time money movement, emphasizing that any disruptions to this system can significantly impact customers and merchants .
