Intel Launches The World’s Fastest CPU With Price Tag $699

Intel has recently unveiled its latest CPU offering, the Intel Core i9-14900KS, which is poised to be one of the top-performing processors available. Acting as a successor to the Core i9-14900K, this new CPU boasts an unprecedented out-of-the-box frequency, soaring to an impressive 6.2GHz, surpassing any other chip currently on the market.

Intel anticipates a significant performance boost compared to its predecessor, and the specifications, release date, and pricing have now been disclosed. The newly launched Core i9-14900KS features 24 cores (comprising eight P-cores and 16 E-cores) and 32 threads, accompanied by 36MB of Intel Smart Cache and a thermal design power (TDP) of 150 watts.

Similar to other CPUs in the Raptor Lake refresh lineup, it supports both DDR4 and DDR5 RAM, with the capacity to accommodate up to 192GB of DD4-3200 MT/s memory or DDR5-5600. It is compatible with either a Z690 or a Z790 motherboard and offers 20 PCIe lanes, 16 of which operate at PCIe 5.0 speed, while the remainder operate at PCIe 4.0 speed.

While the new model maintains similar specifications to the 14900 K, it elevates the clock speed significantly to an impressive 6.2GHz. The Core i9-14900K shares the same core count and cache size but possesses a lower power draw of 125 watts.
