CABS has introduced seamless digital payment solutions for city parking across Zimbabwe, in a move set to transform urban mobility and convenience. Leveraging its existing suite of digital banking platforms, the bank now enables customers to pay parking fees instantly via the CABS Mobile App, Internet Banking or WhatsApp Banking. This move eliminates the need for cash, reduces the hassle of finding parking marshals, and helps drivers avoid fines all while saving time.
For many Zimbabweans, navigating city parking has long been a tedious affair. The traditional reliance on cash payments and physical interactions with parking attendants often leads to delays, especially during peak hours. With CABS’ new digital payment feature, drivers can now settle parking fees in seconds, whether they’re running errands, commuting to work, or attending meetings. The service is available 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted convenience even outside standard banking hours.

The process is simple and accessible to all CABS customers.
The first option is the USSD Short Code (*227#). Users can dial the code, select the parking payment option, enter the required details, and confirm the transaction. Those with the mobile app or internet banking can simply log in, navigate to the payments section, choose “City Parking,” input the parking details, and authorise the payment. WhatsApp bankers will only need to send a “Hi” to 0777 227 227, follow the prompts, and complete the payment via chat.
Once paid, users receive instant confirmation, and parking authorities are notified digitally, reducing the risk of disputes or fines. Notably, the system also allows users to extend their parking sessions remotely, a game-changer for those caught in unexpected delays.
The initiative aligns with CABS’ broader mission to drive financial inclusion and reduce reliance on cash. By digitising parking payments, the bank addresses several pain points like high dependence on cash, encouraging embracing cashless transactions.
City parking payments are just one facet of CABS’ expanding digital banking portfolio, which includes DStv bill payments, medical aid premiums, internet service subscriptions, and the USD remittance service EezySend. The bank’s focus on integrating everyday services into its platforms underscores its commitment to customer-centric innovation.
