Over a week later, the promotion which started on December 15 last year supposedly ending on January 15 is still up and running.

This move comes as a lifeline extension for thousands of Zimbabweans who mill around at the ZOLSpots accessing internet for free. Zimbabweans have to forget sulking upon finishing the previously pegged-at 50MB WiFi service.
Efforts to get information on this development from the ZOL Head of Marketing Alana Chinhara were fruitless.
Not only will they have time to connect with their friends on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat but they can do their professional and school errands like applications and check emails.
With the extension being a welcomed move among Zimbabweans, one Trust Murindi hopes it stays like that for a while longer.
“Thinking the ZOL Unlimited Wifi promotion had ended, I was excitedly shocked to see its still on three days later that is on the 18th. I certainly look forward to seeing it exist for quite some time for access to my emails and online applications that I am currently doing,” he said.
ZOLSpots are available in airports, hotels, restaurants and other locations around Zimbabwe.
