Complacency is not a word every supplier should include in his or her vocabulary. The business requires persistent people with a knack of nagging consumers. This crop of people is known for not accepting the word NO.

It is against this background that GAP365, a local tech startup has added a new feature to its platform which focusses on the supplier after discovering that most of them where losing out on their sales due to complacency.
The founder Tafadzwa Moyo said this new addition complements the previous edition which mainly looked onto the consumer.
In his discovery, Moyo found that 97 percent of consumers do not buy instantly. He said the app inculcates a culture of following up on deals if the supplier was a smug.
“With this app we are ensuring they are not going to miss meetings and follow ups. 97 percent of consumers are not ready to buy immediately. Most sales are lost because they don’t follow up. “That’s what this version solves,” said Moyo.
A dealer has to endure five follow ups to clinch a deal, says Moyo.
“The average number of times required to close a sale after first meeting is 5 for 88 percent of sales. 44 percent of sales people will give up after the first follow up. That’s the challenge. It means advertising has been wasted. Our solution is the handy, offline and proactive app which ensures that at least you are reminder,” said the Gap365 founder.
