This comes at a time when basically the whole Zimbabwean socio economic sector has jumped on to the digital bandwagon, while Christians somehow have remained complacent with the traditional or conventional ways of spreading their messages.
Speaking to the founder of Sonic Signals Mr Tinashe Nyemba, he said he was passionate to see Christians connected to their various preachers of choice as they play their part in spreading the word of God
“Sonic Signals is pushing the product and the idea is to spread the word of God for a better society and the world. Its not about the denomination but about the Kingdom.”
The innovative idea will go a long way to keep parishioners close to their favourite preachers and even more beneficial to connect them to other local and regional preachers.
The technology is a simple USSD based service that allows a user to subscribe to a certain service with a certain extra charge to it.
Already signed to the platform, is the Telecel Zimbabwe mobile network with plans to get the system across other networks while renowned local preachers have already been signed to the platform on its take off.
