The Zimbabwe Centre For Media and Information Literacy (ZCMIL) and the National University of Science and Technology are co-hosting the Zim New Media Summit from the 18th to the 19th of July in Bulawayo.
The summit which is an annual event is open to the stakeholders from the media academia, government and Civil Society Organizations.
The summit is to be held at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) from 8am-5pm on both days. The summit is about new media and democracy: beyond fake news, disinformation and misinformation.
The panel discussion will be on ”Pulling plugs from the internet: is it time to regulate social media in Zimbabwe?”.
