Zim celebrates International Day for Access to Information


All is set for the Zimbabwe International Day for Universal Access to Information commemorations to be held at Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera tomorrow.

The Director of ICT Services in the Ministry of ICT Beaullah Chirume said the celebrations, running under the theme “Leaving no one behind!” provides an opportunity to promote and explore opportunities among the challenges in accessing and maintaining the flow of information through the use of ICTs.

“Zimbabwe’s commemoration theme this year is ‘Leaving no one behind’ and the primary focus is to ensure that there is access to information communication technologies across the country,”

“We’re going to provide access to information from an ICT perspective with the help of various stakeholders such as Potraz, Telecel, NetOne, TelOne, Zimpost, TechMag Tv and ZBC who have come on board to assist with the commemorations,” she said.
