By TELECEL Zimbabwe is penetrating the terrain of public wifi hotspots as it unleashed about 70 across the country.
With about 70 Wi-Fi hotspots in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare and Victoria Falls, the company is offering subscribers a faster way to access the internet as well as cheaper bundles from $1 a GB.
Public Wifi hotspots have become another battlefield in the telecommunications sector with come sort of competition brewing in there.
During the past few months, Telecel which is owned by the government has been building its Wi-Fi networks around Zimbabwe, entering a market already dominated by ZOL and the Econet Wi-Fi zones.
To use the Telecel Wi-FI hotspots customers will need to activate the service and buy bundles by dialing *480# menu.
