TechnoMag is proud and greatly honoured to partner the fourth African Council for Distance Education ACDE conference and awards proudly hosted by the Zimbabwe Open University at the Elephant Hills Hotels in Victoria
The event is now taking place from the 7th Today to the 9th of June at the Elephant Hills hotel in Victoria Falls.
Speaking on Behalf of the Honorable minister of higher and tertiary education, Science and technology, Mrs Olivia Muchena, The permanent secretary Mr Mbizvo said The ACDE has to be commended for driving our educational sector in Africa.
He said government commitment to education for African countries had benchmarked their budget to atleast 22% but our Zimbabwean Government has managed to go above that stipulation rate to 30% towards the development of education and Science and technology have also greatly contributed to the success of the vision.
The development of the ICT industry in Zimbabwe has se en a rise in the number of students opting to engage in distance learning through internet access.
ZOU has been the pioneer of this drive to distance learning and TechnoMag is proud to be associated with its endeavour to continuously improve distance learning in Zimbabwe.
