According to the organisers, the event will be carried out through workshops, plenary and debate sessions looking at ways to develop the tech space in Africa.

“The Techcon is going to be carried out through workshops, plenary and debate sessions. The major reason for this conference is to ensure that technology innovators, experts and students including personnel interested in this field have a platform to solicit developmental ideas, err out views and generally get a push in technologically developing Africa,” said the organisers.

“Upon this the  aim is to host and promote interactions around the issues affecting the development and establishment of technology in Zimbabwe.

Realising how sound IT policies are not being implemented, Techcon will be distilling key action points and recommendations that ecosystem builders and stakeholders can use as a guideline to promote the development of Technology in Zimbabwe.

“This comes after the discovery that sound policies have been propounded and not put into action .Therefore it is high time what has been ideally propounded and put down come to reality and practice. The world as a global village is moving closer in essence and swiftly into technological advancement, hence the need for Zimbabwe and the African region to partake in this cause,” added the organisers.
