The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe team (POTRAZ) will this year continue to trail blaze some of its success stories with everything now set for the Girls in ICT Celebrations to be held at Langham Girls High School in Glendale on 17 May this coming week.
By Cisco Eng. Shingie Levison Muringi
They have been the busiest bees this year, from researching and compiling detailed Sector Performance Reports, partnering with the ITU for Telemedicine Training in Zimbabwe, successfully holding the World Radio Conference, Launching the Inclusive Collective Infrastructure Program (ICP), all the way to initiate Zimbabwe’s Cyber Bill Consultation, and recently collaborating with ICANN for hosting the 2016 DNS Workshop.
Now they will proceed to tackle their well set major goal of “creating a level playing field” by celebrating and inspiring the girl child for her relevance and valuable contribution in the development of the ICT Sector world over. The celebrations are expected to be graced by the Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services senior officials, the Provincial Education Director, Mr L.T Mudiwa, International Telecommunications Union delegates, Childline Zimbabwe, TelOne, Liquid Telecom, NetOne, Telecel, Econet, Powertel, and many other key players in the ICT Sector.
Below is the well structured program we received from POTRAZ’s official communications office with detailed time slots for all those who will be presenting. Lets join them in celebrating such remarkable achievements and offer our support to our precious girl child.
