Steward Appoints Four Top IT Guys

Steward Bank may finally have accepted the fact that good marketing , without perfecting the product is detrimental as they finally take the bull by its horns through creating a digital team of well known tech experts to drive the brand forward.

Steward Bank has made four significant changes to spruce up their ICT department to address some of the challenges they have been reportedly facing.

The bank made four appointments in its IT department namely the acting Chief Technology officer, Head of digital transformation, Digital Products Development Manager, and IS Operations Manager.

With a lot of its Zimbabwean clients complaining of Steward’s system always being down, the bank noted that these changes are meant to rejuvenate their operations.

 “As we transform it into a fully-fledged digital bank to improve operational efficiencies, the bank has commenced the restructuring of its technology team. To this end, we wish to announce the appointment of the following IT professionals who will lead this transformation,” said Steward in a statement.

Below are the new appointments the company made.

Arthur Matsaudza-Acting Chief Technology officer

Arthur Matsaudza is a recognised technology and business leader known for crafting strategic direction to achieve business turnaround, growth and transformation. He offers a unique blend of executive acumen with diverse technology and business experience in telecommunications, fintech, digital payments, digital transformation, financial services, banking and mobile money in different markets. Arthur is a holder of an MBA degree from University of Gloucestershire (UK) an Honours degree in Computer Science from NUST, a certified web services solutions developer with IBM, holds a number of enterprise java certifications with Oracle/Sun Microsystems and several other related certifications.

Gedion Moyo- Head of Digital Transformation

Gedion Moyo us a multi award winning Fintech innovator who is currently championing development of innovative solutions that unlock economic potential in emerging and frontier markets. He has won several top ICT Innovator of the year awards in Zimbabwe. Gedion is a senior software engineer with a proven track record as a Tech entrepreneur in financial services and gas experience with liquid telecom and Hello Group (SA). He is a holder if a computer science and mathematics degree from Yale University (USA) and holds several technology related certifications.

Luckson Madziwa-Digital Products Development Manager

Luckson Madziwa is a senior software engineer with extensive experience in digital products and software applications development. He has vast experience in developing fintech products and services for telecommunication and financial services businesses including Econet and Telecel Zimbabwe. He has led teams that successfully delivered high profile products chief among them mobile insurance and mobile financial services products. He has expertise in rapid software development methodologies, project management and systems integrations. He is a holder of a bachelor of science honours degree in computer science from NUST. Luckson is a certified solutions developer and full-stack programmer.

James Ritala IS Operations Manager

James Ritala is a technology professional with over 8  years in the ICT industry with a major focus in enterprise financial systems. With a degree in computer science from NUST, and internationally recognised certifications in specialised enterprise technology he has helped build and maintain core financial core financial systems in Zimbabwe and across the SADC region including FNB Bank in South Africa.
